Possible Causes
Failed evaporator fan motor, Obstructed fan blades, Ice buildup around fan shroud, Faulty fan wiring or connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the appliance before accessing internal fans.
- Access evaporator fan: Remove the rear or internal panel covering the evaporator compartment in the Zanussi ice maker.
- Check for obstructions: Inspect the fan blades for ice, plastic packaging, or wiring that may be blocking rotation. Clear any obstructions carefully.
- Defrost ice: If the fan is encased in ice, leave the unit unplugged with the panel open until all ice melts. Do not use sharp tools to chip ice.
- Test fan motor: Spin the blades by hand; they should move freely. Disconnect the fan and measure motor resistance. An open circuit indicates a failed motor.
- Inspect wiring: Ensure the fan connector is fully seated on the control board and that no wires are broken.
- Replace fan if needed: Remove mounting screws, install the new Zanussi-compatible evaporator fan motor, and reconnect wiring.
- Reassemble and test: Refit panels, restore power, and verify that the fan starts when the compressor runs and that E07 clears.
