Safety: Unplug the unit before working on moving parts.

• Inspect ice tray: Remove the ice bin and visually inspect the tray or plate. Clear any large ice blocks or foreign objects that may be jamming movement.
• Check drive linkage: Access the harvest motor area (usually behind a side or rear panel). Look for broken plastic gears or disconnected linkages.
• Test motor: Disconnect the motor and measure resistance. An open circuit indicates a failed motor. Also check for signs of overheating or burning.
• Check position switch: Many Zanussi ice makers use a micro-switch or sensor to detect tray position. Test the switch for proper continuity when actuated. Replace if faulty.
• Replace components: Install a new harvest motor or gear set as needed, ensuring correct alignment of the tray in the home position.
• Reassemble and test: Restore power and run a harvest cycle. Confirm that the tray rotates/tilts smoothly and that E12 clears.
