Possible Causes
Loose UI harness connection, Damaged touch panel or keypad, Moisture ingress into control panel, Faulty main control board communication circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect mains power before removing the control panel.
- Inspect front panel: Check for signs of moisture, cracks, or physical damage to the keypad or touch interface.
- Access UI board: Remove the front bezel or control panel screws to expose the user interface PCB and ribbon cable.
- Check connections: Reseat the ribbon cable or harness between the UI and main control board. Ensure connectors are fully latched.
- Dry moisture: If condensation or spills are present, gently dry the area with a lint-free cloth and allow the panel to air dry completely before reassembly.
- Test operation: Reconnect power with the panel still accessible and test button response. If still unresponsive, replace the UI board or keypad assembly.
- Consider main board: If a new UI does not resolve E14, the main control board may have a communication fault and require replacement.
