Ice maker will not start at all, but interior light (if fitted) works and display is on.

Safety: Use only front-panel controls for this fault; no need to open the cabinet initially.

• Check bin status: Empty the ice bin completely and ensure it is seated correctly. Verify that any mechanical shutoff arm is in the down (ON) position.
• Disable child lock: Refer to the Zanussi user manual to disable control lock (often by holding a specific button combination for several seconds).
• Cancel delay: Ensure no delayed start or timer function is active. Cancel any programmed delay.
• Test start button: If the start/stop button does not respond, the keypad or UI board may be faulty and require replacement.
