Step 2 – Manual rotation: With the tray removed, gently turn the coupler by hand. It should rotate smoothly. If stiff or seized, inspect the motor and coupler from below.
Step 3 – Access motor: On many AEG models, the turntable motor is accessible from the bottom by removing a metal cover plate. Disconnect the motor and test its resistance with a multimeter. An open circuit indicates a failed motor.
Step 4 – Wiring check: Inspect the wiring harness to the motor for damage or loose connectors. Repair or replace as needed.
Step 5 – Replace motor: Install a new AEG-compatible turntable motor, refit the bottom cover, and test operation with the tray and roller ring correctly installed.
