Possible Causes

Failed convection fan motor, Open-circuit convection heater, Faulty overheat thermostat, Wiring fault in convection circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety warning: Allow the oven to cool fully and disconnect power before servicing.

  • Step 1 – Check convection operation: Try running a pure convection or hot-air program (if available). Listen for the fan and check for heat. If neither works, suspect the heater or thermostat; if fan is silent, suspect the fan motor.
  • Step 2 – Access rear components: Remove the outer cover and, if necessary, the rear panel to access the convection fan and heater assembly.
  • Step 3 – Test fan motor: Spin the fan by hand; it should move freely. Measure motor resistance; an open circuit indicates failure.
  • Step 4 – Test heater and thermostat: Check continuity of the convection heating element and any inline thermostats or thermal fuses. Replace any open components.
  • Step 5 – Wiring and control: Inspect wiring for heat damage. If all components test good, the control PCB relay for the convection circuit may be faulty and require replacement.
