How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the microwave before removing the control panel.
- Step 1 – Clean surface: Wipe the control panel with a dry, soft cloth. Do not spray cleaner directly onto the panel.
- Step 2 – Dry out: If moisture is suspected (after heavy steam cooking), leave the door open and allow the unit to dry for several hours.
- Step 3 – Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the control panel and check the flat cable between the keypad and control PCB. Reseat and secure it.
- Step 4 – Replace panel: If specific keys never work or the panel is cracked, replace the complete AEG touch control panel assembly.
