• Listen for fan: During operation (before unplugging), note whether you can hear the internal cooling fan running. No fan noise suggests a fan or control issue.
• Inspect fan area: With the cover removed (if you are qualified), check for debris or insulation obstructing the fan blades.
• Test fan motor: Use a multimeter to check continuity of the fan motor. An open winding indicates a failed motor that must be replaced.
• Replace components: Replace the cooling fan motor if defective. If the fan tests good but never receives power, the control board fan relay may be faulty and the board will need replacement.
