• Inspect plug and outlet: Make sure the plug is fully inserted and not loose. If the outlet feels hot or the plug is loose, stop using it and have an electrician inspect it.
• Use surge protection: Consider plugging the microwave into a quality surge protector rated for microwave use.
• If PF recurs frequently: Have the home electrical system checked. If the outlet and circuit are good, the microwave’s line filter or control board power supply may be failing and should be inspected by a technician.
