Microwave over-the-range hood light under the unit does not work or only works intermittently.

Safety First: Turn off power to the microwave and allow bulbs to cool before handling.

• Replace bulb: Access the hood light from the bottom of the unit. Replace with the correct wattage and type specified by Amana.
• Check socket: Inspect the socket for discoloration or looseness. Replace if damaged.
• Test operation: Turn power back on and test all light settings (Hi/Lo/Off).
• Control issue: If bulbs and sockets are good but lights do not work, the control board light relay may be faulty and require replacement.
