Possible Causes
Corrupted firmware, Failed EEPROM chip on control board, Voltage spike damage, Poor control board grounding
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the microwave.
- Hard reset: Leave the unit unplugged for at least 15 minutes to fully discharge internal circuits. Plug back in and check if E10 clears.
- Check for surge damage: If E10 appeared after a power outage or lightning storm, the control board may have been damaged. Inspect for burnt components or discoloration.
- Verify proper grounding: Ensure the outlet is grounded and the plug is fully inserted. Do not use a 2-prong adapter.
- Replace control board: If the error persists, the main control PCB (with EEPROM) will typically need replacement with an Ambiano-compatible board. Transfer any wiring harnesses one by one to avoid misconnection.
