Possible Causes

Open or shorted cavity thermistor, Disconnected sensor wiring, Failed sensor on control board, Overheated cavity causing sensor trip

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the microwave.

  • Allow cooling: If the microwave was used for extended periods (especially on grill or convection models), let it cool for 30–60 minutes and then try again. Overheat protection may reset.
  • Locate cavity sensor: On Ambiano models with grill/convection, the cavity temperature sensor is usually mounted on the top or rear of the oven cavity, accessible after removing the outer cover.
  • Check wiring: Inspect the sensor harness for loose connectors, broken insulation, or signs of heat damage. Reseat connectors firmly.
  • Test sensor: Disconnect the sensor and measure its resistance at room temperature. Compare to service specs (typically 100kΩ NTC or similar). If reading is open, shorted, or far out of range, replace the sensor.
  • Control board check: If the sensor tests good, the control board input circuit may be faulty and require replacement.
