Possible Causes
Low or fluctuating mains voltage, Faulty internal power supply on control board, Loose power cord connection, Blown internal line fuse or thermal fuse intermittently opening
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the microwave before inspection.
- Check outlet: Plug another high-wattage appliance (like a kettle) into the same outlet to verify stable power. Avoid using extension cords or power strips with the microwave.
- Inspect power cord: Check the Ambiano microwave power cord for cuts, kinks, or burn marks. Replace if damaged.
- Internal fuse check (technician-level): Remove the outer cover and locate the line fuse (usually in a fuse holder near the power cord entry). Test for continuity with a multimeter. Replace only with the same type and rating if blown.
- Thermal fuse/thermal cut-out: Inspect cavity and magnetron thermal fuses for signs of overheating. Test continuity and replace if open.
- Control board: If fuses are good and power is stable but E9 persists, the low-voltage power supply on the control PCB may be failing and require board replacement.
