Possible Causes
Defective START key on membrane keypad, Loose keypad ribbon cable, Failed relay driver on control board, Child lock still active
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the microwave before removing any panels.
- Rule out child lock: Look for a lock icon on the display. Try holding STOP/CANCEL or 0 for 3–5 seconds to disable the lock.
- Test other keys: If other keys respond (beep, change display) but START does not, the START key on the keypad is likely faulty.
- Inspect keypad connection: Remove the control panel and reseat the flat ribbon cable from the keypad to the control board.
- Replace keypad: If reseating does not help, replace the control panel/keypad assembly with an Ambiano-compatible part.
- Control board: If START is recognized (display changes) but no relays click or components energize, the control board relay or driver may be defective and require board replacement.
