Possible Causes
Stripped turntable motor coupler, Failed turntable motor, Broken or misaligned turntable support wheels, Food debris jamming the turntable shaft
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the microwave before working underneath or inside.
- Check the glass tray: Remove the glass turntable and the plastic roller ring. Clean both thoroughly and remove any food debris from the cavity floor.
- Inspect coupler: The plastic coupler that fits into the motor shaft can crack or strip. Remove it and inspect for damage. Replace if worn.
- Test motor: With the tray and ring removed, run the microwave briefly (with a cup of water inside) and look through the glass to see if the coupler turns. If it does not, the motor may be faulty.
- Access motor: On many Ambiano models, the turntable motor is accessible from the bottom after removing a metal cover plate. Test the motor for continuity and replace with an Ambiano-compatible turntable motor if open or seized.
