Possible Causes

Faulty main control board, Damaged low-voltage power supply on PCB, Loose wiring harness to control panel, Surge-damaged components

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect from mains before opening the cabinet.

  • Power reset: Unplug the Amica microwave for at least 10 minutes to allow the control electronics to fully discharge. Plug back in and test.
  • Inspect control connections: Remove the outer cover and control panel. Check the ribbon cable between the display/touch panel and the main control PCB. Reseat connectors carefully.
  • Check for visible damage: Look for burnt components, cracked solder joints, or bulging capacitors on the control board.
  • Surge protection: If the error appeared after a lightning storm or power surge, the control PCB may be permanently damaged and require replacement.
  • Replace control PCB: If wiring is intact and E05 persists, replace the main control board with the exact Amica part number. Transfer any configuration jumpers as per service documentation.
