Possible Causes
Damaged touch membrane, Faulty control panel PCB, Loose ribbon cable to main board, Moisture ingress behind keypad
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before removing the control panel.
- Power reset: Unplug for 5–10 minutes, then reconnect to see if the error clears.
- Inspect keypad area: Check for signs of liquid spills or steam damage around the keypad. Dry the area thoroughly.
- Check ribbon cable: Remove the control panel fascia and inspect the flat ribbon cable connecting the keypad to the main control PCB. Reseat both ends carefully.
- Test keypad: If some buttons work and others do not, the membrane may be failing. On many Amica models, the keypad and fascia are a single replaceable unit.
- Replace control panel: If E09 persists and the keypad is unresponsive, replace the touch control panel or keypad membrane with the correct Amica spare.
