Possible Causes
Blown cavity lamp, Shorted lamp holder, Faulty lamp relay on control PCB, Wiring short to chassis
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the microwave before replacing the lamp.
- Access lamp: On many Amica models, the lamp is accessible from the rear or side via a small cover. Remove the cover screws.
- Inspect lamp: Check if the filament is broken or the bulb is darkened. Replace with the correct wattage and type specified by Amica.
- Check lamp holder: Inspect the lamp holder for heat damage or signs of arcing. Replace if cracked or burnt.
- Test operation: Reassemble, plug in, and open/close the door to verify correct lamp behavior.
- Further diagnosis: If E14 persists or the lamp stays on, the control board relay may be stuck and the main PCB may need replacement.
