Possible Causes

Contaminated humidity sensor, Failed humidity sensor module, Loose sensor connector, Moisture damage on sensor PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect from mains before accessing internal components.

  • Locate sensor: On Amica models with auto-cook by humidity, the sensor is usually mounted on the top of the cavity or behind a small grille.
  • Clean sensor area: Gently clean the sensor opening and surrounding area with a soft cloth to remove grease and residue.
  • Inspect wiring: Check the sensor wiring and connector to the control board for corrosion or looseness.
  • Replace sensor: If cleaning and reseating do not clear E16, replace the humidity sensor module with the correct Amica part.
  • Reset: Unplug for several minutes after replacement to reset the control, then test an auto-cook program.
