Microwave beeps and displays E4; turntable does not rotate and cooking does not start.

Safety: Unplug the microwave before working underneath or inside the cabinet.

Steps:

• 1. Check for mechanical obstruction: Remove the glass tray and roller ring. Clean any spilled food or debris from the cavity floor. Inspect the roller ring for cracks and ensure it rolls freely. Check the plastic coupler that fits over the motor shaft for damage.
• 2. Test turntable motor: Access the underside of the microwave (countertop models) by removing the bottom cover. Locate the turntable motor. Disconnect its wires and test for continuity with a multimeter. A reading of open (infinite resistance) indicates a failed motor that must be replaced.
• 3. Inspect wiring and connectors: Check the motor wires and connectors for burns, loose terminals, or broken insulation. Repair or replace as needed.
• 4. Replace damaged parts: Install a new Avanti-compatible turntable motor or coupler if defective. Ensure the motor shaft engages the coupler properly.
• 5. Reassemble and test: Reinstall the bottom cover, roller ring, and glass tray. Plug in and test a short cook cycle to confirm rotation and that the E4 code is cleared.
