Possible Causes
Contaminated humidity sensor, Failed humidity sensor, Loose sensor connector, Faulty control board sensor circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the microwave before accessing internal components.
Steps:
- 1. Clean the cavity: Food splatter and grease can coat the humidity sensor. Thoroughly clean the interior with a mild detergent and soft cloth, especially near the sensor grill (often on the side or top of the cavity). Do not use abrasive pads.
- 2. Dry the cavity: Leave the door open to allow moisture to evaporate. Then try a non-sensor manual cook cycle to see if the error clears.
- 3. Inspect sensor and wiring: Remove the outer cabinet and locate the humidity sensor module. Check its connector and wiring harness for secure fit and damage.
- 4. Replace sensor if needed: If cleaning and reseating do not help, replace the humidity sensor with the correct Avanti part.
- 5. Control board diagnosis: If a new sensor does not resolve H0, the control board’s sensor circuit may be defective and require replacement.
