Possible Causes
Recent power outage or brownout, Loose power cord connection, Faulty wall outlet, Internal line fuse or filter issues
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: If you suspect wiring or outlet issues, turn off power at the breaker before inspection.
Steps:
- 1. Confirm external power: Check if other appliances on the same circuit lost power. Reset the breaker if tripped.
- 2. Check cord and outlet: Ensure the Avanti microwave’s power cord is fully inserted and not damaged. Test the outlet with another appliance or a receptacle tester.
- 3. Clear PF code: Press CLEAR/OFF or STOP, then reset the clock. If PF does not reappear during normal use, no further action is needed.
- 4. Repeated PF events: If PF appears frequently without known outages, have an electrician check the outlet and circuit. If the circuit is good, internal components such as the line filter or control board may need professional diagnosis.
