How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the microwave before removing any covers. Internal components can still hold charge.
Steps:
- 1. Check outlet and breaker: Confirm the outlet has power by testing with another appliance. Reset any tripped breakers.
- 2. Inspect power cord: Look for cuts, burns, or kinks in the Avanti microwave’s power cord. If damaged, the cord must be replaced by a qualified technician.
- 3. Access internal fuses (advanced): Remove the outer cabinet and locate the line fuse and thermal fuse(s). Test for continuity with a multimeter. Replace only with identical rating fuses. If a fuse is blown, investigate for underlying shorts before reapplying power.
- 4. Control board: If fuses and cord are good but the unit is still dead, the control board’s low-voltage power supply may have failed and the board will need replacement.
