Possible Causes
Faulty humidity sensor, Blocked sensor vent, Control board sensor calibration error, Wiring issue to sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug before accessing internal components.
- Step 1 – Clean interior: Thoroughly clean the cavity, especially around the sensor vent or grill. Built-up grease can affect sensor readings.
- Step 2 – Avoid covering sensor: Ensure cookware or covers are not blocking the sensor area during sensor programs.
- Step 3 – Power reset: Unplug for 5 minutes, reconnect, and test a non-sensor manual power/time program. If manual modes work but sensor modes show E3, the sensor or its circuit is suspect.
- Step 4 – Replace humidity sensor: Install a new humidity/sensor module compatible with your Bauknecht model.
- Step 5 – Control board: If a new sensor does not resolve E3, the control board may require replacement.
