How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the microwave before inspecting the turntable mechanism.
- Step 1 – Remove glass tray: Take out the glass tray and roller ring. Check for food debris or broken pieces obstructing rotation.
- Step 2 – Inspect coupler: Check the plastic turntable coupler on the floor of the cavity for cracks or wear. Replace if damaged.
- Step 3 – Test rotation: With the tray removed, gently try to rotate the coupler by hand. It should turn smoothly with slight resistance.
- Step 4 – Access motor: From the underside (after removing the bottom cover, qualified person), inspect the turntable motor and wiring. Look for burnt smell or discoloration.
- Step 5 – Replace motor: If the motor is seized or tests open, replace it with the correct Bauknecht turntable motor.
