Possible Causes
Damaged membrane keypad,Loose ribbon cable between keypad and PCB,Moisture ingress behind control panel,Defective control PCB keypad interface
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect from mains before removing the control panel.
- 1. Power reset: Unplug for 5 minutes, then reconnect. Sometimes static or minor glitches can be cleared.
- 2. Inspect control panel: Check for signs of liquid spills, steam damage, or cracks on the fascia. If the keypad feels unresponsive or some keys are stuck, the membrane may be damaged.
- 3. Access keypad ribbon: Remove the control panel assembly (usually held by screws behind the trim). Carefully disconnect and reseat the flat ribbon cable from the keypad to the control board.
- 4. Test operation: Reassemble loosely and test. If E09 clears and keys respond, the issue may have been a poor connection.
- 5. Replace keypad if needed: If certain keys still do not work or E09 persists, replace the membrane keypad or full control panel assembly as supplied by Beko.
Note: If a new keypad does not resolve the error, the main control PCB may be faulty.
