Possible Causes
Failed convection heater element,Seized convection fan motor,Open thermal fuse in convection circuit,Control board relay failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the microwave and allow it to cool before accessing convection components.
- 1. Test convection mode: Select convection-only mode and set a moderate temperature. If the fan does not run and no heat is produced, E13 may indicate a convection circuit fault.
- 2. Access rear section: On many Beko combi microwaves, the convection heater and fan are at the rear of the cavity. Remove the outer cover and rear shield as required.
- 3. Inspect fan: Check that the convection fan blades are not obstructed by foil, grease, or debris. Spin by hand to ensure free movement.
- 4. Electrical tests: Measure resistance of the convection heater and fan motor. Replace any open-circuit components. Check the thermal fuse or thermostat in series with the heater.
- 5. Wiring and connectors: Inspect for heat damage or loose connections. Repair as needed.
Warning: Incorrect reassembly of convection ducting can affect airflow and safety. Follow Beko service documentation where available.
