Possible Causes
Shorted cavity lamp,Faulty lamp holder,Incorrect feedback from door switch to control,Control PCB lamp driver fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the microwave before replacing the lamp or accessing internal parts.
- 1. Observe lamp behavior: Open and close the door. The lamp should turn on when the door opens and during cooking. If it flickers, stays on, or never lights, note the pattern.
- 2. Replace lamp: Access the lamp cover (often behind a grille or side panel). Remove the old lamp and install a Beko-specified microwave-rated bulb. Do not use a standard household bulb.
- 3. Inspect lamp holder: Check for heat damage, corrosion, or loose contacts. Replace the holder if damaged.
- 4. Check door switches: If the lamp does not respond correctly to door position, test the door switches for proper operation and replace if faulty.
Note: If a new lamp and good switches do not resolve E14, the control PCB may have a defective lamp driver circuit.
