How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the microwave before removing the control panel if needed.
- 1. Try manual child lock toggle: Follow the user manual (often pressing and holding a specific key combination) to enable/disable child lock. Observe if E17 changes.
- 2. Power cycle: Unplug for 5–10 minutes, then reconnect and attempt to set/clear child lock again.
- 3. Check for stuck keys: Press each button individually and feel for proper click. If any key feels stuck or does not respond, the membrane keypad may be faulty.
- 4. Replace keypad: If stuck keys are found, replace the membrane keypad or full control panel assembly.
Note: If keypad is good but E17 persists, the control PCB may require replacement.
