Possible Causes
Loose mains plug or socket,Loose internal wiring to control PCB,Cracked solder joints on PCB power input,Failing low-voltage transformer or regulator
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the microwave before any internal inspection.
- 1. Check external connections: Ensure the plug is firmly inserted and the outlet is not loose. Avoid using adapters.
- 2. Wiggle test (external): With the unit running, gently move the plug and cord (without pulling). If the display flickers, the cord or plug may be faulty and should be replaced.
- 3. Internal wiring: Remove the cover and inspect the wiring from the mains entry to the control PCB. Tighten any loose spade connectors and secure wiring away from sharp edges.
- 4. PCB inspection: Examine the control board for dull or cracked solder joints, especially around the low-voltage transformer or power connector. Reflow solder or replace the PCB as needed.
Warning: Internal mains wiring work should be done by a qualified technician to maintain safety compliance.
