Faulty Start button on keypad,Door not fully closed or misaligned,Defective door interlock switch,Control PCB input failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the microwave before removing the control panel or covers.
- 1. Check door closure: Ensure the door is firmly closed. Push gently on the door while pressing Start; if it begins to work, the door switches or latch may be misaligned.
- 2. Test other buttons: If other keys respond (beep or change display) but Start does not, the Start key on the membrane keypad may be faulty.
- 3. Child lock: Verify that child lock is not active (refer to the user manual for the key combination to toggle it).
- 4. Door switch test: For trained persons, remove the cover and test the door switches with a multimeter. Replace any that do not change state correctly.
- 5. Replace keypad if needed: If only the Start key fails, replace the membrane keypad or full control panel.
