Possible Causes
Faulty Start button on keypad, Open door switch in start circuit, Control board input failure, Child lock engaged
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: No high-voltage work is required for basic checks.
- Step 1 – Check child lock: Look for a lock icon on the display. Follow the manual to disable the child lock feature.
- Step 2 – Test other keys: See if other buttons respond (time setting, power level). If only Start is unresponsive, the keypad may be failing.
- Step 3 – Door closure: Open and close the door firmly. If the control thinks the door is open, it will not start. Listen for distinct clicks from the door switches.
- Step 4 – Keypad and switch testing (advanced): With power disconnected, test the Start key circuit and door switches with a multimeter. Replace the membrane keypad or door switch as needed.
