Possible Causes
Failed turntable motor,Stripped or jammed turntable coupler,Turntable sensor fault (if equipped),Loose wiring to turntable motor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the microwave before accessing the underside or interior components.
User checks:
- 1. Remove and reseat glass tray: Take out the glass turntable and roller ring. Clean them and the cavity floor. Reseat the roller ring and tray, ensuring the tray engages properly with the center coupler.
- 2. Check for overloading: Very heavy dishes can stall the turntable. Test with an empty tray and a light microwave-safe cup of water.
Advanced checks:
- 3. Inspect coupler and roller ring: Look for cracks in the plastic coupler or flat spots on the roller ring wheels. Replace if damaged.
- 4. Access turntable motor: On many Blomberg models, the turntable motor is accessed from the bottom. Unplug the unit, remove the bottom cover, and locate the motor. Check wiring connections.
- 5. Test motor: Use a multimeter to check the motor windings for continuity. If open or shorted, replace the motor. If the motor hums but does not turn, the shaft may be seized and the motor should be replaced.
