How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the microwave before adjusting hinges or latch components.

Checks and adjustments:

1. Inspect door alignment: Close the door and check that the gaps around the door are even. If the door rubs or sits crooked, hinge adjustment or replacement may be needed.
2. Check latch hooks: Open the door and inspect the plastic latch hooks for cracks or wear. If they are loose or deformed, they may not fully engage the interlock switches.
3. Tighten hinge screws: With the unit unplugged, tighten any loose screws on the door hinges and latch bracket.
4. Test operation: After adjustments, plug in and open/close the door several times. The interior light should switch cleanly without flicker, and E18 should clear.

If the frame or latch bracket is damaged, replacement parts may be required.
