Microwave shows dE or DE and will not start; sometimes accompanied by a beeping sound when closing the door.

Safety: Unplug the microwave before adjusting door components.

• Step 1 – Check door closure: Open and close the door several times. It should close smoothly and click firmly. If you must push hard to latch, the hinges or latch hooks may be misaligned.
• Step 2 – Inspect hinges and latch: Check for loose hinge screws or bent hinges. Tighten screws carefully. Inspect the plastic latch hooks for cracks or wear; replace the door or latch assembly if damaged.
• Step 3 – Test door switches: Access the door interlock switches as described in the E0 section. Test each switch with a multimeter and replace any faulty ones.
• Step 4 – Frame alignment: If the cabinet or door frame is bent (e.g., from impact), it may not be repairable safely. In such cases, replacement of the entire unit is recommended.
