Possible Causes

Worn membrane keypad, Moisture behind control panel, Loose ribbon cable to control board, Faulty touch sensor IC

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the microwave before cleaning the control panel.

  • Clean the panel: Wipe the touch surface with a slightly damp cloth and mild detergent, then dry thoroughly. Do not allow liquid to seep around the edges.
  • Allow to dry: If the panel was exposed to steam or spills, leave the door open and let the unit air dry for several hours.
  • Test specific keys: After reconnecting power, test each button. Note which ones fail; this helps identify a keypad vs. control board issue.

If keys remain unresponsive: The touch panel or its ribbon cable is likely defective and must be replaced from behind the fascia by a Bosch technician.
