Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the microwave before cleaning the control panel.
- Clean and dry the keypad: Wipe the touch panel with a slightly damp, non-abrasive cloth and mild detergent. Immediately dry with a soft cloth. Do not spray cleaner directly onto the panel.
- Allow to dry: If the panel was exposed to steam or liquid spills, leave the door open and allow the unit to air dry for several hours.
- Power reset: After drying, plug the microwave back in and test all buttons. Check if E08 reappears when pressing specific keys.
If certain keys do not respond or E08 persists: The touch control panel or its ribbon cable may be damaged, or the main PCB interface has failed. These parts are behind the fascia and require disassembly; contact Bosch service.
