Microwave shows E09 and may not start or may shut off immediately after pressing Start.

Safety: Unplug the microwave before inspecting the door hardware.

• Inspect door hooks: Open the door and examine the plastic hooks that engage the cabinet. If they are cracked, bent, or loose, they may not actuate the internal switches correctly. Replace the door latch assembly if damaged.
• Check hinge alignment: Look at the gap around the door. It should be even on all sides. If the door sags or rubs, the hinges may be loose or bent. Tighten accessible hinge screws from the front if possible.
• Test door closure: Close the door firmly and listen for distinct clicks from the interlock switches. If the door feels spongy or does not latch positively, the latch mechanism may be worn.

If E09 continues: The internal door sensing switch or latch bracket inside the cabinet may be faulty. Because this involves the safety interlock system, have a Bosch technician perform the repair.
