Possible Causes

Open or shorted cavity temperature sensor (NTC), Damaged sensor wiring harness, Sensor connector not seated on control board, Control board sensor circuit failure

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the microwave and allow it to cool completely before any checks.

  • Reset electronics: Disconnect power for 10 minutes, then reconnect and test a simple microwave-only function. If microwave-only works but convection or combination modes trigger E10, the cavity sensor is suspect.
  • Check for obvious damage: Look inside the cavity for any visible sensor probe (often on a side wall or ceiling in combination models). Ensure it is not bent, broken, or covered in heavy grease. Gently clean around it with a damp cloth.

If E10 persists: The NTC temperature sensor or its wiring behind the cavity liner is likely faulty. Access requires disassembly from the rear or top; schedule service with a Bosch technician.
