Possible Causes

Failed convection fan motor, Open grill heating element, Faulty fan or grill relay on control board, Loose wiring to fan or element

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the appliance and allow all internal parts to cool before inspection.

  • Confirm which function fails: Test microwave-only, then convection-only, then grill-only (if available). Note which mode triggers E11.
  • Listen for fan: In convection mode, you should hear the convection fan running. If it is silent and E11 appears, the fan motor or its circuit may be faulty.
  • Visual check of grill element: In grill mode, look through the door (do not open while running) to see if the grill element glows red after 1–2 minutes. If it does not heat and E11 appears, the element or its circuit is suspect.

Next step: Fan motors, grill elements, and their wiring are behind the cavity walls and require disassembly. Contact Bosch service for diagnosis and replacement.
