Possible Causes
Incorrect cavity humidity baseline, Heavy condensation inside cavity, Faulty steam sensor, Control board calibration fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the microwave before cleaning.
- Dry the cavity: Wipe all interior surfaces with a dry cloth to remove condensation. Leave the door open for at least 30 minutes to air dry.
- Clean sensor area: Gently clean around any small grills or openings on the upper side wall or ceiling where the steam sensor is located. Use a mild detergent and soft cloth, then dry thoroughly.
- Perform a reset: Plug the unit back in, set the clock, and run a short manual heating cycle with a cup of water. Then test a sensor program.
If E13 reappears: The steam sensor or its calibration on the control board may be defective. These components are internal; contact Bosch service.
