Possible Causes

Loose harness between main PCB and display PCB, Faulty display module, Main control board failure, Electrical noise or surge event

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the microwave before any action.

  • Power cycle: Disconnect power for 10–15 minutes to fully discharge internal electronics. Plug back in and reprogram the clock.
  • Check for pattern: Note if E14 appears immediately at power-up or only after using certain functions. Avoid using those functions until serviced.
  • Surge protection: If your home has frequent power fluctuations, consider using a surge protector rated for microwave ovens (check Bosch recommendations) once the unit is repaired.

If E14 persists: The internal communication between boards is faulty. This requires access to and testing of the control and display boards by a Bosch technician.
