Possible Causes
Aging magnetron, Low mains voltage, Failing high-voltage capacitor, Incorrect power level setting
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Standard precautions apply; do not open the cabinet.
- Verify power level: Ensure the power level is set to 100% for your test.
- Perform a water test: Heat 1 cup (250 ml) of room-temperature water on full power for 2 minutes. It should be very hot or boiling. If only lukewarm, output is low.
- Check supply voltage: Avoid using long extension cords or sharing the circuit with other heavy appliances.
If heating remains weak: The magnetron or high-voltage capacitor may be failing. These components must be tested and replaced by a Bosch technician.
