Possible Causes

Stripped turntable coupler, Failed turntable motor, Broken turntable support ring or rollers, Obstruction under the glass tray

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the microwave before handling internal moving parts.

  • Remove and inspect tray: Take out the glass turntable and support ring. Clean them thoroughly and check for cracks or missing rollers.
  • Check coupler: Inspect the plastic coupler that fits into the motor shaft in the center of the cavity floor. If it is cracked, melted, or stripped, it will not engage the tray properly and should be replaced.
  • Test motor (non-invasive): With the tray removed, plug the unit back in and briefly run it while watching the coupler through the door. If it does not turn, the turntable motor may be faulty.

If the motor does not turn: The turntable motor, located under the cavity floor, must be accessed from below or behind and replaced by a technician.
