Possible Causes

Failed display module, Faulty display backlight driver on PCB, Loose display connector, Low-voltage regulator failure on control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the microwave.

Basic checks:

  • Verify that the unit still heats and operates by listening for fan and turntable when starting a short cycle (if safe to do so). If it works but you cannot see the display, the issue is localized to the display circuit.

Internal inspection (experienced users):

  • Remove the outer cover and front trim to access the display board.
  • Check the connector between the display and main control PCB for a secure fit.
  • Inspect the display for signs of burning or moisture damage.

Repair: In most cases, the display module or entire control board must be replaced. Component-level repair is not recommended for non-specialists. Contact a Candy service center with the model number to obtain the correct part.
