How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Immediate action: Stop the microwave and unplug it as soon as you see sparks.

Inspection and cleaning:

  • Remove any metal objects, twist ties, or foil from inside.
  • Inspect the waveguide cover for burns, holes, or heavy grease; replace if damaged.
  • Clean the cavity thoroughly with a mild detergent and soft cloth, paying attention to corners and around the waveguide cover.
