Microwave beeps and shows E2; oven light and fan may run but food does not heat.

Safety first: Unplug the microwave. Internal components operate at lethal voltages. Do not touch the high-voltage section (transformer, capacitor, diode, magnetron) unless you are trained.

Basic user checks:

• Check ventilation: Ensure the Clatronic microwave has at least 10 cm clearance on sides and top. Remove any items blocking rear or side vents. Clean dust and grease from vents with a soft brush and vacuum (unit unplugged).
• Inspect cooling fan operation: With the cabinet on and unit plugged in, run a short test (with a microwave-safe cup of water). Listen for the internal cooling fan. If the fan is silent or very weak, the cooling fan motor may be defective.
• Allow cool-down: If E2 appeared after long cooking, unplug the unit for 30 minutes to cool. Try again with a short 30-second test. If E2 returns immediately, an internal sensor or magnetron fault is likely.

Advanced checks (technician level):

• Remove the cabinet (unplugged, capacitor discharged). Locate the magnetron thermostat / thermal cut-out mounted on or near the magnetron. Test for continuity. Replace if open when cool.
• Check the cooling fan motor for free rotation and continuity.

Warning: Magnetron and high-voltage repairs should be done only by qualified technicians due to radiation and shock hazards.
