Possible Causes
Recent power outage or brownout, loose power cord connection, faulty wall outlet, internal line fuse intermittently opening
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Ensure hands are dry when working with electrical plugs and outlets.
Reset and basic checks:
- Press STOP/CLEAR to clear the PF message, then reset the clock.
- If PF appears frequently, plug another appliance into the same outlet to check for intermittent power loss.
- Inspect the microwave's power cord for cuts, kinks, or burn marks. Do not use the unit if the cord is damaged.
- Avoid using extension cords or power strips; plug the microwave directly into a properly grounded outlet.
Internal check (advanced):
- If PF occurs without any household power issues, an internal line fuse or connection may be loose. This should be inspected and repaired by a qualified technician.
