Possible Causes
Burned-out turntable motor, Cracked or stripped turntable coupler, Broken turntable support ring or rollers, Obstruction under the turntable
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the microwave before accessing the underside.
Mechanical checks:
- Remove the glass tray and support ring. Clean any food debris from the cavity floor.
- Inspect the plastic coupler that fits over the motor shaft for cracks or wear; replace if damaged.
- Check the support ring and rollers for flat spots or broken wheels.
Motor test:
- Access the turntable motor from the bottom (often behind a metal cover).
- Test the motor for continuity with a multimeter. An open circuit indicates a failed motor.
- Replace the motor with an Emerson-compatible part if defective.
