Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the microwave before any disassembly.
User-level checks:
- Allow the microwave to cool completely for at least 30 minutes, then try again. Over-temperature conditions can sometimes trigger sensor-related codes.
- Perform a power reset by unplugging for 5–10 minutes.
Sensor inspection (qualified persons):
- Remove the outer cover (if permitted) and locate the cavity temperature sensor, typically clipped to the top or side of the oven cavity.
- Inspect the sensor and wiring for damage, burns, or disconnection.
- Test the sensor resistance with a multimeter at room temperature and compare to Fagor specifications (NTC sensors usually read in the tens of kΩ).
- Check continuity of the harness back to the control board.
If the sensor is open/shorted or out of spec, replace it with the correct Fagor cavity temperature sensor. If the sensor tests good, the main control board may be defective and should be evaluated by a technician.
